Believe in Yourself

Google Buzz

I am very excited to share with you one of the most important, probably THE MOST IMPORTANT Success Mantra which lies at the root of all great achievements of successful people.

People are always throwing at you all sorts of strategies, formulas and tactics promising to make your business successful. Every other person you meet will offer you the latest trick or the million dollar tip on building your business.

Some people talk about the ultimate success principle and others talk about the 7 or 10 strategies for success. Network marketing especially is full of such people and ideas which are a dime a dozen. I find most of such strategies to be simply old wine in a new bottle.

While it may be true that these success principles did in fact work for those who talk about them, but why is it that these principles do not work for everyone who follows them?

This is because even those who are successful are sometimes unable to articulate the exact reason for their success. While they may use words like vision, patience, networking, self-knowledge, luck, and relationships and so on… these are nothing but fragments of the underlying principle which I am going to share with you today. I am going to tell you about MOMEMTUM.

The principle of Momentum is at the heart of the achievements of all the successful people whether they are great political leaders or artists or internet millionaires. Momentum is neither just bookish knowledge nor just skill in implementing a strategy. It is not even the ability to focus on one thing single mindedly.

So what exactly is Momentum? It will be easier to understand what Momentum means by seeing how you spend your energy while performing your tasks. Most of you, including myself before I understood this principle, work in fragmented manner.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of energy and passion and you want to put all of that in to growing your businesses. One day you might spend in scouting for leads, another day you might spend in learning about the products, and another time you might search for business partners. Yet all of this activity does not seem to add up. Isn’t it supposed to add up?

But the fact is that all your energy seems to disappear into thin air. You keep on putting in efforts, implementing new strategies, applying latest methods and searching for profitable investments. Yet you are unable to grow your business. It is possible that a lack of planning or a lack of a cohesive model of growth is contributing to this. But that is not the full story.

This is the stage when most people quit. While they may have a great desire to achieve what they have dreamt of or visualized. But when they find that their efforts are not giving the desired results, they quit. It is quite easy in such a situation to blame the company or one’s luck. But I believe that the real reason for not being successful is a lack of Momentum.

Having energy, knowledge, skills, strategies and doing more and more activities by itself is not enough to achieve your goals. You need a different order of intelligence, a sort of brilliance to create Momentum in your efforts.

Think of momentum as a large snowball which is rolling down the slope. As it rolls down, it gathers more and more snow and becomes bigger and bigger. But when it started at the top, it was just a small snowball.
The same holds true for efforts in business. Instead of doing a lot of disjointed activities, try to build momentum by linking the activities that you are doing. And then add on new activities.

I will give a very simple example of building momentum. You would be writing articles and publishing them to article directories. You would also be interacting with friends on social media like Twitter or Facebook. Taken separately, both these activities are isolated. However, when you connect them by posting the article link to your Facebook and Twitter followers, you are creating momentum. Every activity that you do, you must connect it with all the other activities in your marketing strategy in some manner which increases the momentum.

Let me illustrate with another example. If you develop a new marketing strategy for your email list, make sure you roll it out for your friends on social media. You could add on new activities like writing an article about your strategy or recording a video. Then share this with the broader audience. This will build the momentum further as it will position you as an expert in your field attracting more prospects to you.

If you attain a certain level of success and you stop or continue to do the same, the momentum starts going down. In order to keep the momentum up, you must never stop. Find out new activities, new strategies and keep on increasing your circle of influence. For instance, you might want to educate yourself in a new subject and start another business. You might want to start mentoring budding entrepreneurs on their way to success.

The more you are active, the more visible you are in your network, the more momentum you will gain. You passion, dedication, and energy will rub off on others.

Regardless of what situation you find yourself in, regardless of whether circumstances are favorable or not, keep on building momentum. This I believe is the single most defining quality of successful people. They never quit building momentum for what they aim to achieve despite all odds.

So if you have understood the principle of momentum and how it is crucial for success, find out how you can start building momentum in your business and not only there but also in your life. Remember that momentum has nothing to do with being intelligent or having some sort of advantage or monopoly. It is not about having a godfather to protect you or promote your business interests. Momentum is about continued dedication in linking things up and never quitting whatever the odds.

Build that snowball and ride it to glory and achievement. I extend the best wishes from the bottom of my heart and soul for your success.

Feel free to share this message with your friends because I think this is the single most important thing that online entrepreneurs must be aware of for their success.

    Angela,

Great post here. People usually give up right before momentum kicks in. It’s at that breaking point that big things are ready to happen, however, people are so blind to the unseen, things working behind the scenes in our favor, that they never reap the benefits of their hard work.

Winners do whatever it takes to make things happen for them. Losers make excuses as to why things happened the way they did and miss the opportunity to learn from their shortcomings.

An excuse is a reason STUFFED with a lie……………….
